Are piercings free?
Piercings are free with the purchase of a Monisha Melwani Jewelry earring. We do not allow piercings with any outside jewelry, due to safety guidelines.
What types of piercings are offered?
We offer only ear piercings for the lobe, midi, helix, conch, and tragus.
What safety measures are being taken?
We strive to protect the health and safety of people around us because our customers and employees are always our top priority. Between each customer, we sterilize all surfaces in our studio. For piercings, we use sanitized, single-use equipment. All our piercers wear a mask and follow COVID-19 safety guidelines.
What earrings do you recommend for helix?
For helix piercings, we recommend selecting an earring from our Flat Back Earring Collection. However, it is up to our customers preference to select the earring they'd like to get pierced with the advice from our piercer.
Do you pierce with a needle or a piercing gun?
Our piercers use single-use sterilized needles for piercings.
What are the recommended aftercare tips?
1. Wash your hands: Always wash you hands before touching newly pierced ears.
2. No chemicals: Do not clean your piercings with chemicals such as alcohols, Neosporin, or bactine. These are not designed for piercings.
3. Clean with saline: Gently clean with a cotton pad or swab, sprayed with saline solution twice daily.
4. Don't rotate jewelry: Don't rotate the jewelry or move it back and forth while you're cleaning.
5. Dry well: Dry well afterwards using a clean paper towel. Moisture can cause irritation.
6. Healing time: Leave the earrings in your ear for six weeks or longer. Helix piercings require 4+ months for proper healing.
